Yab Yum (1992)
In the early 1990's, a young creative man named William Waldren had a vision to open a coffeehouse like the ones of bohemian Europe and New York. Yab Yum Coffee House - nestled in the Wall Street Plaza near the old Orange County Courthouse - was one of the first, trendy hang-outs in downtown Orlando.
What began with frozen cookie dough deserts, open mic nights and poetry slams, eventually gave birth to an oddball assortment of bars, including the Go Lounge and Kit Kat Club.
